A TASTE OF BEIRUT
Three love letters to Lebanon, in one gift box.
At its heart is the Beirut bar: orange blossom caramel and cashew baklava crunch, and Nigella Lawson's pick in the Financial Times, where she called it "just too luscious for words". Beside it sits our Orange Blossom Caramel spread, the same caramel in a jar for the breakfast table. Then there's the Khoury's Fig. It's a fig 'chocolate' made in the style of white chocolate, stone-ground from Lebanese, Greek and Turkish figs and fig leaves picked at the height of summer, and moulded to crack into segments and share.
"What a treat! I love Fig. It is so beautiful and delicate. Exciting and surprising too.": Claudia Roden
Giving back to Beirut. The Beirut bar began life at a charity bake sale for Lebanon. Today, £4.50 from every A Taste of Beirut box (10% of its price) goes to the Lebanese Red Cross.
